deviantART is hosting a launch party for all those in the LA area or whoever can make it! It promises to be a night of fun, food, drink, art, excitement and all things deviant! Help us celebrate the imminent launch of version 5! This will be a true milestone in not only the art world but the online world as a whole.
In addition to DJ’s, food and drink there will be a preview of the Mighty Version 5 itself! There will be previews of deviantART staff! Err..well, there will be many of us there in attendance! If you can get to LA by foot, train, plane or boat, or even car, do so!

As many of you may have heard, the answer to the question of "who is taking over for you?" has been answered. And that answer comes in the form of a wee Scottish lass named fourteenthstar (https://www.deviantart.com/fourteenthstar) who is known for her bawbag biting and supreme numptyness!
In all seriousness, Fiona is absolutely the best choice for this position, and is more than capable of bringing her own style to it and advancing it into something new and exciting. I never spoke to her till I took over commdev back in 2005 and she was part of the mn@. We got along instantly, despite the fact that I would mess with her all the time and make jokes about her diminutive stature :giggle
