ArtistsForCharity Makes First Donation

`ArtistsForCharity and deviantART Inc. are glad to announce that the first donation to the chosen charity, UNICEF, has been made. We've raised $1000 so far, which is a great achievement for all involved.

`ArtistsForCharity has sold a fantastic 127 prints to date, with all the profits going straight to UNICEF. deviantART Inc. is then matching those profits, like for like, to double the amount going straight to the charity.

As we've now reached the first $1000 goal, a new charity will be selected to replace UNICEF and benefit from this project. Our next goal is to raise $2500 for this next charity, and we hope to reach this before Christmas. So we ask for donations from seniors and non-seniors alike. Lets make this get even bigger and better as it is all for a good cause. If interested please contact `ArtistsForCharity or any of the aFc staff.

`ArtistsForCharity is an account maintained by the senior members of deviantart. The goal of aFc is to sell artwork as prints with all the proceeds going to a selected charity. Both the artist and deviantarts profits are donated.
