Impromptu Coaster Contest

So, I’m sitting around here drinking some coffee atop a pile of old wet napkins that seem to have accumulated something that could be a beard hair on them, or at least one would hope, but hope is like playing dice with waffles, it usually doesn’t pan out for the best so let us cease discussing this random hair…oh yeah I had a point to this didn’t I?

Anyhow, there is a dire lack of coasterage here and while it would take mere seconds to pop over to Ye Olde Printes Shoppe I thought it would be a bit cooler to have some custom made, color specific sort of coasters for Ye Olde Office Space.

The next problem I then realized was I had no idea where to turn to for artists to design such a thing and then I remembered this site called deviantART

So here is your assignment if you should choose to undertake it…

Design some funky coasters in some funky dav5 colors! Specifically these colors!

You need not use every single one, sometimes simple is more profound than complex and all that.

You can use the DA Logo or Fella or not use them at all and come up with something totally unique. Just keep in mind you are designing them to be coasters, and not massive prints that will get squished down to become coasters.

When you are done upload them to whatever category is appropriate and submit them as a print. If you do not have a print account fret not, you can upload them as a deviation and if you are the first place winner you will receive a print account to upload them to.

For those not in the know the sizes to make a printable coaster are 750x750 pixels for lowest acceptable quality and 1130x1130 for the best possible quality.

Grand prize will get either a one year sub or a print account if you do not have one and a set of the coasters printed off for you as well.

Runner up will receive a 3 month sub and a set of the coasters

3rd place will receive a 1 month sub and a set of the coasters

Now the deadline, I need some coasters quick! The deadline is 6pm PST THIS FRIDAY!

So get to it people, and help me stop using suspicious napkins as coasters for my beverages

I need coasters that won't break my coffee table when a rugrat tosses them.

So i'm lookin forward to the result of this. ...maybe i'll join in the fun.
