Welcome to Project Yeti.
What
is Project Yeti? Well, it is my way of providing you all with entertainment while I indulge in weird things I obsess on.
And in this case that is my ongoing obsession since about age 14 to grow a crazy ass Yeti Beard, or a Unabomber if you will. Or an Alan Moore. ZZ Top also springs to mind.
I've never actually done it for a multitude of reasons. First being it is a huge shag carpet planted on your face.
Second, it is itchy when it grows and that has usually killed it at the 2 week period.
But here I am again at the two week mark, and this time I have decided to go for it.
And document it! For you to laugh at! Why do I want to do this? For the hell of it. And who knows, maybe being surrounded by the constant stream of waxed, oiled, plasticly constructed superficial douche bags in Hollywood is provoking my inner rebel to go Yeti.
Or maybe my inner Yeti is wanting to be free for its own purposes? Or maybe because I want to look like Alan Moore. Either way, the photo above is 2 weeks of no shaving ( already had the goatee area mind you ) so once per week I will take photos documenting this bizarre sideshow circus!
All for you! I am honestly not sure how long I will go on, but with your encouragement I think I can shoot for a month and see how absurd it gets, and we will go from there!
And hey, you can always place private bets with each other on how long it will get and how long it will be before I shave it and tell other people. Make my beard an hero!
