The cycle. Produce. Assimilate. Climb.

Available as print and a nice little work ethic reminder magnet for your refridgerator.

3ds max and Photoshop post.

Daily Deviation

Given 2006-05-05

The cycle. Produce. Assimilate. Climb. Drop out. Next batch. The cycle repeats itself.
Urban Living 2 WORK by Richard Hartley is a minimalistic 3D piece with a clear message. This corporate cycle of urban living may be hard to break, but as long as the sun is shining, there will always be a place to periodically to escape to outside of the cycle.

Available as print and a nice little work ethic reminder magnet for your refrigerator. (Suggested by ~reality23 and Featured by $spinegrinder)

Indeed I did. I have a bunch at that res already though. It's a 1.50:1 aspect ratio and it gets knocked down to that. When I discovered that size though, I can't help but use it.

woah...resolution digits are trippy!

Cool concept man, reminiscent of your previous themed series where the 3d tells a important tale. I Like the depth of field, the toon style render and the 2 dimensionality of the mangs walking in line. Very pink floyd.

If i can offer some constructive criticism, i would try and render a 3d sun into the pic. Looks like you stuck one on later in photoshop. Unless you intentionally did it, the camera is at a slight angle..gives me a slight feeling of vertigo but overall the idea is great.
:iconlolly:
The sun is intentional. I want it to look fake, like in the last pic I did. I have a few more in this little series, and they all will have the phony sun. Read into that how you will. </end deep mysteriousness>

Ohhh, I want this as a magnet xDDD
They're all MALE, though. DDD: Are all the other pixelWomen barefoot and pregnant at home at their little assimilated houses? That was so sexist, and I'm female. For shame. xD;;
:iconfusionrock:
Yes. More people. I like this one better than the last one that was meant to produce the same feeling. The more people, the more cramped. The more mechanical the look, the more realistic. People these days are robots; their fuel resides in their double nonfat latté rather in a nutritional source. :)

I'd still like seeing a corona around the Sun, though. ;)
:iconlolly:
The only corona you'll be seeing is the one I'll be drinking!

I love this...I would think it's impact would be stronger in monochrome, but this seems to still carry a good kick in the jumblies.
